6 Reasons why you should have a marquee for your wedding.

 

Marquee weddings are becoming more and more popular. We look into 6 reasons which could explain this growing trend:

You choose your venue.

All you need for your marquee is a bit of open space. This means you can have your wedding at home, in a field amongst the stunning UK countryside, overlooking the sea or even in a woods away from it all. There are also plenty of wedding venues which use marquees to host receptions, the options are limitless.

Obviously, in an ideal world you would need flat ground with no overhanging cables, but we can cater to a certain amount of sloping ground as we can build a wooden platform to even everything out.

From the beginning, you can be involved in designing your marquee and tailoring it to your tastes and to match colour schemes. The first thing to remember is to decide how many guests you will be inviting and while the space and size is completely up to you, you need to make sure you have room to accommodate everyone comfortably. Most marquee suppliers have calculator tools to help you estimate how much space you will need and you can go from there.

A marquee gives you greater flexibility when it comes to budgets, whether you’ve saved for years and have a lot to spend or are working to a tight budget you can control the spending! You have the option to choose your own décor, caterers, bar, florists & menu and there are some great suppliers out there who can cater to all budgets, or you could DIY lots of your décor and floristry and keep the costs down that way.

Pick your own food.

Hog roast? Pizza? Sit down meal? The choice is completely yours! There is so much variety when it comes to catering and you can get a great selection no matter what your budget is. Do a bit of homework and ask your friends for recommendations, most marquee suppliers have built up great local connections so will be able to help point you in the right direction.
